    Overheating?

so occasionally when im playing AA2, ill notice that parts of walls and the floor are green. ive seen screenshots of colors like this and ppl say its due to overheating, so is this because my graphics card is overheating? recently i have also noticed a major drop in FPS. i typically get a steady 90+ but now it is averaging 45-50. (i play on a laptop btw) so i was contemplating getting a notebook cooler but i wanted to hear your all's ideas

    thanks!

rofl. great. when i was playing AA last night, i checked it and it was up to like 78C.
so if i get a cooling pad, it should help that issue, right? and im guessing the lag is coming from that too?

i was looking at this one:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834997580

any that you all would recommend? preferably under $50

You cant say that the program is right! 1 chipset is getting hotter then the other, the same for the CPU.

Search on google and see how hot your cpu can be and compair that with speedfan

ok man i have a few questions
1 where are you using your laptop at is it sitting in your lap or on a hard level surface
2 how hot is it in your house where your laptop is at
3 look on the bottom and make sure your vent ports arnt filled with dust

it helps to clean your computers time to time i clean my laptop once a month i ardly use it and i clean my desktop at least once a week hard core gamer lol

ok hoping you use your laptop on a table a metal cooler might be ok but if you hold it on your pal it would on burn you if your laptop is getting that hot

    so look at this
its plastic but cheap and i have one and it works fucking great as long and you keep your room or area around yout Laptop cool

    http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-3-Fan-Light-...3%3A1|294%3A50

but yeah its only $8.00 thats a lot cheaper lol and i know they work so you dont waste $42 on the other one and it not work

    ok, answers:
    1. i use my laptop on my desk, made of wood
    2. this time of the year, my house stays pretty warm. but i do leave my fan on the majority of the time; and my room is pretty small.
    3. my vents appear to be clean!

so you sure that thing works good? like how much cooler will it make it? haha, im not doubting you, its just, well...8 bucks seems too cheap to be true haha

it dropped mine like 10 C now keep in mind i also had a fan blowing across my desk to help create air flow

metal ones are nice but ive made the mistake thinking ok metal will collect the heat away from my lap top well i was wrong and in your case can be very bad your is running really hot now if those fans in the n etal ones arnt super good its only going to heat the metal up to your laptop temp and further more make it a larger oven if you catch my drift on that on you
dont have to buy iti if you dont want i was just suggesting that being it is cheap and you can test it i mean come on its $8 thats less than a month sub lol

but thanks for answering my questions and not getting pissed im just tring to help you out i had the same problem but that fixed mine but i dont do heavy gaming on my TOP just my desktop pc
